Sculptures by Brendan deVallance
Here is a series of sculptures I have been working on. These small statuettes are made primarily of Papier-maché with a wood base and brass plaques. I was very inspired by the Papier-maché work of Mexico and the Southwest. I am drawn to the bright colors and fantastic shapes. I use spray paint to finish the pieces, perhaps in a Dazzle Ship sort of way. Urban camouflage for the bookcase. I have 5 finished so far and and continuing to work on more.
