Merely a hold out
That is what they called me, that is how they view me,
I am not distracted and life is so unfair
We must arm them to believe them
we must not care
I had a hunch that there were places we would go
and I was right
I had a hunch the primrose path was not so prim
I had to make it my business to end the face of
time itself
I had to drive the car from the engine up. I had to let
them know I was not above walking and that they could not deter me. I had to face them in the night. I had to cram the cartridge into the player and hope that it would play. I had to show them how it was done that one night
in the dark I tell you, I did.
